Sooo

Emancipation?
I asked my parents today about but they said no.
I wasn't completely serious, but I think today's youth should maybe learn a bit more about responsibility.
The only thing is though, society places way too high of standards on pressures on it's youth.
Instead of allowing individuals to explore, I feel like the youth are pushed to jump through a series of hoops without truly learning.
It needs to change :)

Can boys and girls be friends?
Kind of a complicated question :/ I think so, but it takes a lot of courage and honesty.
Emotions are so chaotic it's sometimes hard to not get a really strong friend-like confused with a more-than-a-friend-like.

Free Will?

So a friend of mine asked a question that got me really thinking.
Do we have free will?
Now, the seemingly obvious answer is YES.
But, what about the omniscience and omnipotence of God?
If we have free will, then it would seem to negate both of those qualites, but if He has both of those qualities then, logically, our free will wouldn't exist.
This to me is super confusing, and on top that, I happen to want to believe in both.
Is that even possible?

Simple

I think I like simple best.
In food. Life. Directions. Guys.
Especially guys... Why does everything have to be in a cloak? Maybe it makes things more exciting, but still. It would be nice to have someone just straight out tell you what they thought sometimes.
Of course, I'm a complete hypocrite :) Sometimes. Only my closest friends know what I think and even then, only a part. Do you think when people don't tell one person everything about them, it's because they're afraid that when one person truly sees them, he or she will leave?

Dedication

Does the next generation have it?
My neighbor's daughter was with a company who offered a MBA. That's the equivalent of around $80,000. However, she chose to leave that company right after she recieved a highly lucrative offer. What does that say about her loyalty and apprecation for the company? Not much. Although it makes logical sense for her to accept that other offer, she displayed none of the commitment that is so crucial in an employee.
What about other areas of life?
Gang members. They are committed and dedicated to their gang. It makes them stronger and accepted. They are worth something because of their loyalty.
What is the difference between someone full of potential and someone who sees no potential that affects their loyalty?

Allergic to Cold?

So today, I found out that someone can indeed be allergic to the cold. It's termed cold urticaria and in essence the body responds to cold by producing hives :/ I'm really glad I don't have that since the cold is already not my favorite to begin with.
I also learned today old friends don't always stay friends. Sometimes when you refriend them, they turn out to be different, as in a complete jerk.
On the bright side, my mantra for the day is "Look at life as a glass half full. At least half full with rum."

Procrastination

I don't know, I guess procrastination is maybe a good thing? I mean, it's what made me start this blog, so it could be good. On the other hand, it could also mean I don't finish my debate project, but this might prove more educational anyway in the long run. I'm a little afraid to start blogging, though. I mean, I really don't want weird people showing up on my doorstep, but it might be nice to have somebody read it once in awhile. I guess I'll find out :)
I decided elephants are my favorite animal last week. This came around since I discovered the phrase "a memory like an elephant" is actually true. Then I read about how elephants care for each other and that pretty much clinched it. All of that learning from procrastination too. So when I was asked to write my URL adding elephants in there seemed like a good choice.
